Wild Snowshoe Hare Turning Colors

Wild Snowshoe Hare Turning Colors

The Snowshoe Hare is part of the jack rabbit family. They are quick! This one was captured with the camera as the snow was falling in the Ochoco Mountains. The rabbit felt secure enough to stop long enough for a couple shots, and to see what I was. Soon this Snowshoe Hare will be all white, then as it warms up they turn all brown again.
